The Transgender Flag
For trans people of every gender.
Gives the petals a makeover across the site. Saved only on this device.Where it comes from
Designed by Monica Helms, a trans Navy veteran, in 1999. It reads the same from either end: no matter how you fly it, it's always right side up.
What the colors mean
- The traditional color for boys
- The traditional color for girls
- Intersex people, people who are transitioning, and people with a neutral or no gender
Meanings are the ones the designers and community have shared. Lots of people make their own, and that's valid too.
