How listings get here

Places come from public sources and community suggestions, and every one is checked by hand before it goes live. Owners can claim their listing and prove it's theirs. Badges show exactly what we checked and when.

How we make money

• Listing is free. Businesses will be able to pay for a Featured plan, and paying never changes search rank.
• Sponsors will be able to buy clearly labeled spots next to a category, city or newsletter.
• We never sell or rent your data, and sponsors never learn who you are.

Privacy, in plain words

• You can search without an account. Your last search is remembered on this device only, and you can clear it from the homepage.
• If you suggest a place, we keep what you send us so we can check it. If you sign up a business, we keep your name and email to set up the listing, and never show them publicly.
• There are no ads or ad trackers on this site today. When sponsors arrive, ads will follow the page you're on, not you.
• We count visits with Google Analytics, with Google's ad features switched off. It never runs on health, therapy or crisis pages, or on searches for them.
• Want something removed? Email us and we'll delete it.
